Dale and Sheryl Ertel, managing directors of Tainui Press. Dale has 38 years industry experience, starting as an apprentice straight from school and loving the industry so much he has never wanted to change. Sheryl’s role is the accounts side of the business. They take great pride in satisfying their customers needs and love the local support which helps them give back to the community. “We have a great team that work well together”.
Kylie Darroch,
head of design department, has been working at Tainui Press for almost three years. She completed one year of a Graphic Design Degree at Auckland University of Technology and is in her final year of the PrintNZ three year Graphic Design apprenticeship.
Alysha Johnson,
new apprentice, formally worked as a graphic designer at Rocktec for a year. She has completed one and a half years of a Graphic Design Degree at Wintec in Hamilton and is beginning the PrintNZ three year Graphic Design apprenticeship this year.
Chelsea Ritchie,
Office admin, Chelsea only recently joined the staff of Tainui Press, Chelsea has a wide range of administrative duties and is the first point of contact for both your reception and telephone
Graham Wellington, father of Andrew, has been with Tainui Press for 13 years, Graham is a fully qualified printer with 38 years experience in the printing industry. Graham operates the Ryobi numbering and perforating machine, letterpress, slitting machine and guillotine.
Andrew Wellington, began his career with Tainui Press as a Sheet Fed Apprentice in 2003, he is now a fully qualified printer. Andrew’s main roll is operating the two colour press, but is happy to lend a hand wherever required.
Denise Wilson,
print finisher, joined the staff in 2005, works in the bindery department taking care of trimming, wrapping, folding, binding and quality control. Committed to detail and perfection, Denise ensures every finished run is perfect from the first page to the last.
