For over 75 years Tainui Press Design & Print has serviced the printing and digital design needs of local businesses.

DESIGN

Our in-house design capabilities cover the full spectrum – branding, logo and advertising design through to business cards, stationery, letterheads, publications, annual reports, posters, brochures and beyond. From concept through to print.



OFFSET PRINTING

Offset printing continues to provide the highest quality, colour accuracy and value for larger print runs. Nearly all jobs can be produced by offset printing on either of our two presses the Hamada B252A two colour offset printer or Ryobi 520 one colour offset printer.



DIGITAL PRINTING

Digital printing is very affordable for smaller print runs and turnaround times are often faster than offset printing as no plates are required and the image is instantly dry.



LABELS

We specialise in short run self-adhesive labels. Designed, printed, die-cut to your special shape and supplied on rolls. For weddings, special birthdays, personal or business anniversaries, school or organsiation reunions, personalised wine labels, packaging, industrial labels, and indoor or outdoor use.

OUR STORY

Originating in Tainui Street, from where the company gained its name, and moving as new owners and growth required, Tainui Press Design & Print is now based at modern new premises at 7 Short Street in Matamata.

Tainui Press Design & Print has been owned and operated by Dale and Sheryl Ertel since September 1998, after they purchased the company from INL as it divided the Matamata Chronicle and its commercial printing arm, Tainui Press. We are handily placed in the middle of the Waikato’s lush dairy industry and strong thoroughbred breeding and racing industries and provide printing related services to a broad variety of businesses locally and throughout New Zealand.

Recognising the need to keep up with the incredible advances in printing technology we have invested heavily in top end computerised design, digital and offset printing. Maximising technology such as the internet has allowed us to reduce or eliminate the distance between businesses, opening up our services to a wider market throughout New Zealand.

Being long-term full members of PrintNZ allows us to constantly measure our standards, procedures and professional attitudes in a competitive printing industry. This association also ensures we remain at the forefront of the technological and industry trends.

We understand the importance of employing and training local talent. This has seen Tainui Press Design & Print proudly produce two Printing Industry Graphic Design/Pre-Press Apprentices of the Year. This is the first time a New Zealand printing company produced two national winners in the same branch of the industry. Tainui Press Design & Print continues our policy of training successful apprentices.

Employing our own in-house design team ensures that each project can be monitored from conception, through production to delivery. Where projects are too large or not our specialty, Tainui Press Design & Print has associations with some of the best printers and finishers in New Zealand to ensure we remain competitive and provide professional management for the entire project on your behalf.
